Taking place at the Ramada Encore hotel in Leicester city on the 8th of November, members and board directors came together to approve changes in EMITA’s Articles of Association, reappoint directors and venture into the world of international trade with Australasia.

Tony Peterson, Export Finance Manager, UK Export Finance presented an enlightening case study on an East Midlands based business with whom he worked with to put in place finance in order to secure a major deal with clients in Australia. Nicholas Ferrar from Adamson Jones spoke about intellectual property and the similarities and differences to the UK and Julianne Davis, Investment Director at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) talked about how they can help international investors and companies from around the world identify and take-up investment opportunities in Australia.
