Rockpecker Ltd was established in 2012, we are based in Nottingham and employ 7 people.

Rockpecker design, manufacture and supply drilling tools and accessories. Our products include PDC drill bits, drag bits, hole openers, reamers, stabilisers, pull eyes etc.
Our customers are drilling supplies companies and drilling contractors in the fields of oil/gas, mining, geothermal, underground drilling, water-well drilling etc.
How did you find out about emita and what benefits do you find the most valuable?
We found out about emita via the UKTI Passport to Export Programme and started to attend their events
How long has your company been active in the export / import market and which countries do you currently trade with?
We operate in international Markets such as USA, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Australia, India and Nigeria.
Our products are sold through distributors in different global markets who have local market knowledge. It benefits our company to eliminate any loss of payments as our distributors pay us advance payment before shipment of products. We also benefit by a single contact in a single defined market which is beneficial for us and our distributors.

Ensure you do plenty of research when entering a new market.
What does the future hold? Any particular markets you are looking to target next?
We are setting up a R&D facility in Nottingham for continuous product upgradation and innovation, manufacturing new product development for the HDD and oil/gas industries to compete with global major players and we are developing our trade in new markets in Latin America and the Middle East.
