Inventory-as-a-service solutions take the worry and pressure away from Inventory Management by providing a fully managed SLA driven service at a fixed monthly cost. Utilising our strategically placed European inventory storage locations we deliver the parts required, within the agreed timescale to meet the customer needs.
Hardware sales - through dedicated sales specialists Agilitas can provide customers’ access to a multi-vendor desktop, server, storage and networking product portfolio, including service parts and full system sales across the whole of Europe.
We also provide first class technical Training across all the leading vendors’ products. Course delivery is a mixture of classroom and real-life lab delivery with the emphasis being hands-on methodology. This approach provides delegates with the necessary skills to transfer the knowledge they have learnt into providing resolutions in real-life technical environments for our clients.
Agilitas delivers Enterprise and Wintel server, storage and networking Repair services for multiple customers including IT manufacturers, resellers, and industry leading service providers. Our main differentiator is access to a vast array of server & storage systems, allowing full stress testing capability. A state-of-the-art repair facility is setup to perform extensive test and component repair functionality at a competitive price.
Delivered via ‘support vouchers’, Technical services are available 24x7x365 and are a safety net should ‘in house’ technical skills not be enough to resolve a problem. From a commercial perspective the vouchers also provide customers with a cost effective and predictable way of managing the unexpected peaks in their business whilst preserving customer service levels.
Our cloud services include remote monitoring, disaster recovery and back-up recovery services powered by the leading data centre technology.
How did you find out about emita and what benefits do you find the most valuable?
In July of this year we were invited to a local seminar on International Trade and Export opportunity with focus upon France & Germany, this was of real interest to us as we already successfully trade in those two countries and wanted to learn and share experiences with other members.
How long has your company been active in the export / import market and which countries do you currently trade with?
We have traded across Europe for 25 years. Around 66 per cent of our business is in the UK and about 20 per cent is in France, but we actually trade in 26 countries, for example Germany, Spain, Luxemburg, Hungary, Belgium and Romania.
What made you decide to expand your business overseas?
To enable the business growth that we have targeted meant we needed to expand and operate in other countries. Our clients in the UK are multi-national, therefore to adopt our business model it had to be scalable across regions.
What has been your biggest exporting / importing challenge?
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) governance across the globe dictates we cannot procure across certain continents, this is sometimes a challenge if the product we are trying to source is in limited supply. From an export perspective moving product by air or land from the UK to Europe has its limitations, especially when some of our European Service Level Agreements are less than 4 hours.
What’s the most helpful piece of international trade advice you have received?
Understand the different cultures and people of the countries you are trading within. There are many nuances that do not transpire across borders! From a simple handshake to the time you arrange conference calls, or even as simple as the general business etiquette needs to be appreciated and recognised in order to gain respect and build strong business relationships.
What does the future hold? Any particular markets you are looking to target next?
We’ve grown our workforce by 40 per cent in the last 18 months and we’re very much investment focused so we’ve added lots of technical skills, marketing expertise and customer facing roles. We’ll continue to invest and probably look at some more niche products and services, potentially in new territories.
Networking has been a big thing for us in the past 18 months in that we’ve always been known as a server and storage business, but customers have been asking if we can do the networking too. We’ll continue to grow the European business also.
We’re growing at very good percentages and we’re reinvesting, so for us it is all about never standing still.
