Absolute is an integrated website design and development agency. Centrally based in Nottingham, our creative flair in graphic design is matched by the technical ability of our web development team, allowing us to successfully interpret the marketing and online requirements of your business.
We were established in 1994. We employ 14 members of staff, which includes three designers and six programmers. Client’s enjoy a dedicated service and are appointed an account handler from the outset. We pride ourselves on providing a first class service, which is why our clients rate us so highly.

Our core service offering is our web design and development service, which we provide via three product offerings:
- Bespoke Design & Development – ideal for larger SMEs and Enterprise customers, these projects involve a fully consultative creative briefing, wireframing and customer journey analysis and will typically involve bespoke functionality, such as online customer access, integration with backend systems, etc. built using our content management system (CMS), which allows you to update and maintain all areas of the site yourself.
- Magento Ecommerce Sites – customers looking to sell their products online are recommended a site developed using the popular open source Magento platform. Magento allows for either a fully bespoke design or an existing template, modified to suit our clients’ requirements. As Magento is so popular with developers around the world, there is a huge range of modules that provide pretty bespoke functionality.
- WordPress Websites – we recognise that some clients will have a requirement for a website but that they can’t justify the large investment required for a fully bespoke website. For these clients, we offer a service using the popular WordPress framework using an existing template, which we then customise for the client’s needs.
How did you find out about emita and what benefits do you find the most valuable?
We learned about EMITA through our exposure to other networking organisations. We’re regional sponsors of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and attend lots of networking events as we find that this is both a great way to make new contacts in order to generate new business, but it also keeps us up to date with the latest ‘business thinking’ and trends. As such, we find the networking events really valuable both in terms of meeting new potential clients and referrers and also contacts that might be of use to other clients.
While we’re not exporters ourselves, we find EMITA to be an excellent way to meet new contacts and keep up to speed with the export market. Several of our clients are exporters (and some of them are EMITA members) so we have a good understanding of the export market, especially for manufacturing businesses.
We’ve found the quality of the events to be very high and it’s always great to see how well these events are attended. The feedback from members I speak to following the events is always positive and they seem to appreciate the level of thought and care that goes into planning the topics and selecting the best speakers for the job.
